About This Book

Kitab al-Tawheed by Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab is among the most widely studied books on Islamic monotheism — a systematic presentation of Tawheed and its requirements drawn entirely from the Qur'an and authentic Sunnah. It sets out what Tawheed means and what violates it.

A Concise Commentary on Kitab al-Tawhid by Shaykh Zayd ibn Faleh Ar-Rab' Ash-Shammari was commended by Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan for simplifying the understanding of the Book of Tawhid. Rather than a lengthy multi-volume explanation, this concise commentary clarifies the essence of each chapter and the point Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab was making — a starting text for students who want to understand Kitab al-Tawheed without the background needed to navigate a more advanced commentary.

What This Commentary Covers

The Meaning and Importance of Each Chapter

Ibn Abd al-Wahhab structured Kitab al-Tawheed in chapters, each titled to establish a point or bring attention to a specific aspect of Tawheed or its violation. Shaykh Ash-Shammari's commentary clarifies what the chapter title means, what point the author was establishing, and what the textual evidences within the chapter demonstrate — chapter by chapter throughout the book.

Accessible to All Ages and Levels

The commentary is written to be accessible to readers of all ages and all levels of Islamic knowledge — suited to students beginning their study of Kitab al-Tawheed, to parents teaching it at home, and to Islamic teachers using it in group settings.
