Prescribed Penalties (Hudud)

This section covers their conditions, the strict evidentiary requirements for their application, and the wisdom behind them as deterrents ordained by the Creator.

Retaliation and Blood Money (Qisas and Diyah)

The Islamic law of retaliation for bodily harm and killing, the conditions under which it applies, the right of the victim's family to pardon or accept blood money instead, and the amounts of diyah specified in the Sunnah — all presented with their Qur'anic and hadith evidences.

Judicial Procedure (Qada')

The qualifications of a judge, how cases are heard, the rules of testimony and evidence, and the conditions under which a judgment is valid in Islamic law.

Jihad and Relations with Non-Muslims
