About This Book

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) left behind an ocean of guidance — narrations covering every dimension of the believer's life, from the greatest acts of worship to the smallest etiquettes of daily living. The Delight of the Righteous Hearts and the Comfort of Their Eyes by Shaykh Abdur-Rahman Nasir As-Sa'di is a carefully selected collection of 99 of these narrations — chosen for their breadth, their spiritual weight, and their direct relevance to the inner and outer life of every Muslim.

Shaykh As-Sa'di was meticulous in what he chose for this collection. Each hadith was selected because it addresses something essential — something a Muslim genuinely needs to know and act upon. The result is a book that reads less like a reference and more like a gift: 99 reminders from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), gathered and arranged by a scholar who spent his life with the texts.

What This Collection Contains

Sincerity, Character, and the Inner Life

A substantial portion of the narrations address the heart — sincerity of intention, the development of good character, patience in hardship, gratitude for blessings, reliance on Allah, and the cultivation of certainty. These are the qualities that determine the quality of a believer's entire religious life, and the Prophet's words on them are among the most moving in the Sunnah.

Righteous Deeds — Their Virtues and Their Conditions

The collection includes narrations on the virtues of specific righteous deeds — prayer, dhikr, charity, seeking forgiveness, maintaining family ties — alongside guidance on what makes these deeds accepted and what diminishes their value. A Muslim who internalizes these narrations understands not just what to do but how to do it in a way that truly reaches Allah.

Family, Relationships, and Protection from Sins

The Prophet's guidance on married life, raising children, dealing with neighbors, and protecting oneself from sins is represented throughout — making this collection as practically useful for family life as it is for personal spiritual development.

How to Attain Paradise

The collection closes around the ultimate goal: Paradise, its conditions, and the deeds and qualities that lead to it. These narrations are among the most motivating in the entire Sunnah — a fitting conclusion to a collection designed to delight the heart and move it toward Allah.
