Shaykh Abdur-Razzaq al-Abbad

Shaykh Abdur-Razzaq ibn Abdul-Muhsin al-Abbad al-Badr was born on 22 Dhul-Qa'dah 1382 AH (1963 CE) in az-Zulfi in the Najd region of Saudi Arabia, and is the son of Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin al-Abbad al-Badr, the Muhaddith of Madinah. He graduated from the College of Sharia at the Islamic University of Madinah and went on to complete a master's degree and then a doctorate in aqeedah.

Alongside his father, his teachers include Shaykh Abd al-Aziz ibn Baz, Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymin and Shaykh Ali ibn Muhammad Nasir al-Faqihi. He is a member of the teaching staff at the Islamic University of Madinah and teaches in the Prophet's Mosque in the same seat as his father, holding lessons after Fajr and after Maghrib. He is among the most prolific authors of his generation, with his writing concentrated on creed, the names and attributes of Allah, and the worship of the heart.
