Sameh Strauch

Sameh Strauch is a British revert to Islam who studied at the Islamic University of Madinah from 1985 to 1989. He is one of the more prolific English-language translators working with International Islamic Publishing House, and alongside his translation work he has produced explanatory material of his own. His published works include The Silver Lining, The Neglected Sunan of Prayer, Tafseer Juz' 'Amma (drawn from Tafseer Ibn Katheer), and Tafseer Soorah al-Fatihah.

His most substantial contribution is Kitab at-Tawheed Explained, his rendering of Imam Muhammad ibn Abdul-Wahhab's text on monotheism. Rather than presenting a bare translation, he follows each piece of textual evidence with an explanation of its points of benefit, drawing on recognised Arabic commentaries on Kitab at-Tawheed where further clarification is needed. The result is a study text that an English-speaking reader can work through without an instructor. He has also translated Juz 'Amma and Juz Tabaarak from Tafseer Ibn Katheer and Fiqh According to the Qur'an and Sunnah.
