Shaykh Abu Bakr Jabir al-Jaza'iri (1921–2018) was a scholar of Algerian origin who taught for many decades in the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, becoming a beloved and familiar teacher to generations of students. After beginning his studies in Algeria, he settled in Madinah, where he taught and wrote extensively.
He is best known for Minhaj al-Muslim, a comprehensive and widely translated guide to the beliefs, manners, and rulings of Islam for the everyday Muslim, and for his accessible tafsir Aysar at-Tafasir. His works are cherished for their clarity and practicality.
