Abu Bakr Jabir Al-Jaza'iry

Shaykh Abu Bakr Jabir al-Jaza'iri (1921–2018) was a scholar of Algerian origin who taught for many decades in the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, where generations of students sat with him. After beginning his studies in Algeria, he settled in Madinah, where he taught and wrote extensively.

He is best known for Minhaj al-Muslim, a widely translated guide to the beliefs, manners, and rulings of Islam for the everyday Muslim, and for his accessible tafsir Aysar at-Tafasir. His works are known for their clarity and practicality.
