Shaykh Sulayman ar-Ruhaylee

Shaykh Sulayman bin Salimullah bin Rajaullah al-Ruhayli al-Harbi was born in Rajab 1386 AH (1966 CE) in Madinah, where he still lives and teaches. His father brought him to the circles of knowledge in the Prophet's Mosque before he was six years old, where he attended the lessons of Shaykh Muhammad al-Amin ash-Shinqiti — the author of Adwa al-Bayan — along with those of Shaykh Umar Fatallah and Shaykh Abu Bakr al-Jaza'iri. He began memorising the Qur'an at six and completed it before he was ten.

He passed through the intermediate and secondary institutes of the Islamic University of Madinah before entering its College of Sharia, where he took his bachelor's degree, followed by a master's and a doctorate. He also studied with Shaykh Abd al-Aziz ibn Baz, Shaykh Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani and Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymin. He is today a professor in the department of graduate studies at the Islamic University of Madinah, a teacher in the Prophet's Mosque, and the imam and khatib of Masjid Quba. He is known particularly for his precision in fiqh and its principles.
