Shaykh Jamal ibn Farihan al-Harithi (d. 1442 AH / 2021 CE), who takes the kunyah Abu Farihan, was a Saudi scholar and a student of the senior scholar Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan, who prefaced and approved a number of his writings. He devoted himself to teaching and writing in creed and methodology upon the way of the Salaf, with particular concern for clarifying the correct understanding of the religion and warning against innovation.
He is best known for gathering and presenting the answers of the senior scholars to contemporary questions — most notably al-Ajwibah al-Mufidah, a widely-circulated collection of Shaykh al-Fawzan's replies on matters of methodology — alongside treatises calling to firm adherence to the Book and the Sunnah.
