Flamur Vehapi

Flamur Vehapi is a researcher, chronologist, poet, literary translator and academic of Albanian origin, now settled in Oregon. He holds a BS in Counseling Psychology with a minor in History from Southern Oregon University, an MA in Conflict Resolution from Portland State University, and a PhD in Education and Leadership from Pacific University. In 2009 he received the Imagine Award for Community Peacemaking.

He taught social sciences at Rogue Community College and Southern Oregon University, and afterwards taught at institutions in the Middle East. He is the owner of Crescent Books, the independent publishing house in Portland, Oregon that publishes his work. He has written several books, and his own writing concentrates on history presented in chronological form, gathering the record of a subject into dated entries so that a reader can follow it from beginning to present in a short space.
