Dr. Ali Mohammad al-Sallabi

Dr. Ali Muhammad as-Sallabi is a contemporary Libyan scholar and historian, known for his extensive writings on Islamic history and the biographies of the Prophet, his Companions, and the great figures of Islam. He earned his doctorate from the Omdurman Islamic University in Sudan, specialising in Islamic studies.

His detailed historical works — including his biographies of the rightly-guided caliphs and other Companions — combine careful research with attention to authentic sources, making the lessons of Islamic history accessible to a broad readership. His books have been translated into a number of languages and are read by students and general readers alike.
