Dr. Abdul-Azeem Badawi

Dr. Abdul-Azeem ibn Badawi (born 1373 AH / 1954 CE in Egypt) is a contemporary Egyptian scholar, imam, and writer whose work in tafsir, hadith, and fiqh is shaped throughout by the evidences of the Qur'an and the authentic Sunnah upon the understanding of the Salaf. He pursued his studies in Egypt and spent around eleven years as an imam in Jordan, where he kept close company with the muhaddith Shaykh Muhammad Nasir ad-Din al-Albani.

He is best known for al-Wajeez, translated into English as The Concise Presentation of the Fiqh — a clear, well-referenced manual of Islamic jurisprudence drawn directly from the Book and the Sunnah, whose narrations were checked in line with the gradings of Shaykh al-Albani. It has become one of the most widely used single-volume fiqh references for English and Arabic readers alike. Below are the titles by Dr. Abdul-Azeem Badawi available at The Islamic Book Cafe.
