as-Sayyid, al-Allamah Siddiq Hasan Khan al-Qanuji

as-Sayyid al-Allamah Siddiq Hasan Khan al-Qanuji (1248–1307 AH) was a scholar of the Indian subcontinent and a figure of the Ahl al-Hadith, devoted to reviving the study of the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and the way of the Salaf. A prolific author, he wrote extensively in Arabic, Persian, and Urdu across tafsir, hadith, fiqh, and creed.

His writings were shaped by the works of Imam ash-Shawkani and by the methodology of following evidence over blind imitation. His tafsir and hadith works remain widely read, and he is remembered for his efforts to spread authentic knowledge through the written word.
