as-Sayyid al-Allamah Siddiq Hasan Khan al-Qanuji (1248–1307 AH) was one of the most prominent scholars of the Indian subcontinent in his era and a leading figure of the Ahl al-Hadith, devoted to reviving the study of the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and the way of the Salaf. A remarkably prolific author, he wrote extensively in Arabic, Persian, and Urdu across tafsir, hadith, fiqh, and creed.

His writings were greatly shaped by the works of Imam ash-Shawkani and by the methodology of following evidence over blind imitation. His tafsir and hadith works remain widely read, and he is remembered for his tireless efforts to spread authentic knowledge through the written word.
