About the Original Compiler

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj al-Qushayri (204–261 AH) was from Nishapur in Khurasan and travelled widely in pursuit of hadith, studying under Imam al-Bukhari among others. Alongside his Sahih he wrote on narrator criticism, including al-Kuna wa al-Asma. This abridgement is by Al-Hafiz Zakiuddin Abdul-Azim al-Mundhiri. Published by Darussalam Publishers.
