Prepare for the Quran by mentally focusing and getting clarity from your reading. A mental discipline requires you to stay focused and become immersed in the recitation.  Constantly reviewing verses to retain them and mentally being able to overcome difficult verses.

Prepare for the Quran Spiritually

It's spiritual, you have to connect to what you are reading, reflect, and connect to the content. When your goal is memorizing you are constantly reminded of Allah. You will feel closer to Allah experiencing tranquility and fulfillment.

Prepare for the Quran Physically

When there is a deep connection it may show in your physical body through tears, tensing up, struggling with verses. Then relief, ease, and peace when you achieve a verse. You have to practice breathing control when it comes to recitation. Through all of this, you may experience fatigue physically and mentally.

A’ishah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The likeness of the one who reads Quran and memorizes it is that he is with the righteous honorable scribes.
