In the third and final chapter of Weakness of Faith, Muhammad Salih al-Munajjid gives 20 ways of curing weak faith.
Al-Hakim narrated in his Mustadrak, and at-Tabarani in his Mu'jam, that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "Faith becomes worn out inside one of you just as a garment becomes worn out, so ask Allah to renew the faith in your hearts." (al-Haythami graded it as reliable)
- Reflection upon the meanings of The Noble Qur'an
- Consciousness of Allah's greatness, knowledge of His names and attributes; reflecting upon them and understanding their meanings
- Seeking religious knowledge
- Regular attendance at circles of dhikr (remembering Allah through praising and supplicating to Him)
- Doing many righteous deeds and filling one's time with them
- Diversifying types of worship
- Fear of a bad end
- Frequent remembrance of death
- Remembering the stations of the hereafter
- Interaction with the signs of the universe
- Remembrance of Allah
- Addressing Allah privately and showing humility before Him
- Limiting the extent of long-term hope
- Reflecting upon the insignificance of this world, which removes attachment to it from the servant's heart
- Honoring what Allah has made sacred
- Loyalty to the believers and disassociation from disbelievers
- Modesty
- Deeds of the heart
- Taking account of the self
- Finally, supplication to Allah is among the most powerful means that a servant can use to improve the strength of faith
